The Collective ( India )

With locations throughout the vibrant and emerging Indian market, starting in 2008, The Collective launched men’s specialty stores in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai, bringing many western brands to the sub-continent for the first time—including Theory, John Varvatos, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Earnest Sewn, True Religion, AG, Hickey, Hickey Freeman, Etro, Richard James and Duchamp.

Gogoluxe was retained by store owner, and leading Indian manufacturing and retailing giant, Madura Garments (part of the Aditya Birla conglomerate) during the planning stage, prior to build and rollout, to facilitate the store development. Gogoluxe worked in concert with the incoming ceo, gmm and creative director to build a full store, multi-category, brands matrix strategy; initiated discussions with all potential brand targets across the US and Europe; presented the store and concept to those brands; and negotiated many of the agreements that brought these labels to India for the first time.
